WHEN: ONE DESIGN WEEK 2016
The Hungarian designers from Studio Nomad presented the interactive sound installation Check-Point. The installation consists of a network of gates, which can be rearranged randomly in order to create new routes. Each gate is equipped with a sensor, which activates a beeping sound every time someone walks through. The simultaneous activation of several gates might combine into a melody. The experiment encourages the choice of nontraditional urban routes.
