WHEN: SOFIA CONTEMPORARY 2012

 

Bulgarian feature films “Dog in a drawer,” “Dangerous Charm”, “A nameless band” and “War of the hedgehogs” were screened in the garden in front of the gallery “Academy”, absolutely free for the residents and guests of Sofia. This was part of the artistic project “Public cinema at a quiet intersection” of Thai artist Rirkrit Tiravanija realized during the Festival of Contemporary art SOFIA CONTEMPORARY. Born in Buenos Aires Thai the artist is recognized as one of the most influential artists of his generation. He was awarded Hugo Boss in 2004, awarded by the Guggenheim Museum, was honored with the award Benesse Museum of Contemporary Art in Naoshima, Japan, and the prize Lucelia Artist of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
